I had the beginnings of a head cold and taught a Designer Duo Mixed Media Class with Cathie on Saturday, so I had a hard time keeping track and taking pictures. I did get 12 though, with some help from friends on Instagram!

January

Last Wednesday was 12 on Twelve time again. And it was a cool one because for the last time in our lifetimes all the numbers were the same – 12/12/12.

Here’s what I got, a pretty low-key day all around!

1. Breakfast while trying to catch up on email/blogs/twitter….

2. Christmas card photos back from the printer – chopping them all up.

3. My first Christmas decoration! A free printable from Simple Scrapper.

4. My standard monthly selfie in the porch.

5. The boys, walking over their “bridges.”

6. Miss M brought home her school pics – she’s such a cutie!

7. Mr. G at gymnastic with Nana.

8. Me and my Kobo, enjoying a very rare quiet moment at nap time!

9. Rosie looking out my horribly dirty windows at the nasty snow.

10. Errands and Christmas shopping.

11. A drink for me, a coffee for a pal.

Still playing along with this every month, and still loving it. Unfortunately, I had very few pictures and really terrible lighting but it’s done and documented and not every month has to be my favourite, right?

1. Early morning weekend and holiday ritual – yogurt and raspberries in the basement, watching TV.

2. Reading stories to a captive audience of bunnies.

3. Playing horsey with Daddy.

4. Showing off his new-to-him Spiderman toy.

5. Christmas shopping downtown at the local places!

6. My monthly selfie, in the porch, after dark, with aforementioned terrible lighting.

7. Ella, having a snuggle with Miss M’s new blankie (thanks to Vicki for saving the day when the original vanished!)

8. Bath time!

9. Laundry time.

10. New vacuum cleaner was needed, but were two new Dysons really necessary?

11. Sleepy boy, snuggling his lion.

12. Sleepy girl, moving farther and farther down the bed. This is the only thing she says/does/anything that proves she actually does belong to her father!

Friday was the 12th again – love this day every month!

1. G playing with trains while waiting for Poppy to take him swimming.

2. My monthly selfie in the porch mirror.

3. Writing the blog…

4. Lunch – ham and cheese with “salad” as M says!

5. Nana came by and played memory.

6. M colouring a picture – she’s big into grass and sky lately.

7. L, G, and E playing outside, with clothespins – fall weather has finally started.

8. Miss Crankypants – sigh.

9. The only way M is happy about pics is if I use the self timer – she loves that!

10. Ella was spayed and by the time D brought her home she was more than ready to get out of a kennel.

11. Funniest moment of the day – M putting Chapstick all over G like makeup and saying, “Ok, close your eyes now sweetie.” Hilarious!

12. Dinner at Oppidan with a crowd of girlfriends. As scrapbookers and foodies we take pics of everything but somehow we all missed the amuse bouche we were given. I asked our waiter to get us a picture and this is what he came back with – one with the chef who made it!

Another great day – lots of tears, laughs, and everything in between!

As always, I did my 12 pics for the day on the twelfth. I missed a couple of good ones – M hiding under the kitchen table because she didn’t want to go to school and the stencil class last night – but got an overview none-the-less….

Well, yesterday was the 12th of the month again and although I was away at the cabin, I still remembered to take my pics! Yay me!

1. M wanted a braid just like the girls – and the one I tried was terrible! Suzette to the rescue with a fabulous french braid and a happy girl!

2. G, J, R, and M – what are the chances that I would get them all laughing and looking in the same direction at the same time!?!?!

5. Throwing sand, a big no-no. He’s such a boy…

6. Us, besties since we were 6 and still going strong!

11. My nan’s roses. They grow outside the fence and pink wild roses always make me think of her, as do Bleeding Hearts.

12. Home again, and biking around the street to sell chocolates for gymnastics – she sold them all!

This is a super quick one but I’ll be back later with a full Tuesday Techniques post!

Today is the 12th and I remembered this month – yay! So who’s with me for the 12 on Twelve? It’s easy, just take 12 pictures through the day and then share them tomorrow. I love this project – it’s quick, easy, and gives me a fun overview every month!

Also, I’m teaching at The Paperie tomorrow night. It’s a fun technique class all about Distress Markers! We’ll be making 10 tags with instructions so you can go home and play later, plus the techniques can all be transferred to LO’s, cards, etc.

Don’t worry if you don’t have the markers, there will be some to share and lots to buy (you’ll want to when you see how much fun they are!) Call Meghan at the shop to sign up or get a kit!
