I don’t know if I’m going to be able to tell you about this one – it was a big hot mess and so I just kept layering!

Essentially, there’s a ton of paper towel on here, and a bit of book paper. Then some Coarse Texture Gel over a stencil and heated, which added to the hot mess, so Flexible Molding Paste and another stencil.

Add some Twinkling H2O’s, some Stardust pen, and a quote… I’m calling it done!

Because of the multitude of paper towel layers and the molding paste, there’s lots of dimension and texture to this one:

See you soon for the last one!

A couple of friends popped by yesterday for a visit and asked M if she was going to school in the fall. Then they said to me, “It seems like yesterday you were taking her into the Paperie in her baby carrier.” It really does, and now she’s almost five. Big sigh.

That’s where this card came from:

I misted the plain card with Dylusions and let them spread and run over the card. Then I randomly stamped script over portions with Olive Archival Ink. I used my new clock stencil with light molding paste, then mixed some of the same with black paint and did the circles from Punchinella. Finally, I used coarse texture gel with the Pointy Circles stencil and heated them so they spread and went funny.

I finished the card with my cheap alpha stamps and a wood veneer plane.

I put the molding paste on pretty thick and I’m very impressed with how well the image transferred and how puffy it is – sweet!

I’m having quite the day with the kiddies so crossing fingers the technique post actually happens today! ๐Ÿ™‚

This card was a very late at night one, so M didn’t play along, though she did make an awesome heart for her daddy covered in, of course, Twinkling H2O’s!

And naturally, she needed to write on the back:

For my card, I broke open my new Golden Heavy Body Acrylics and smeared them across my card, blending the colours so they weren’t so bright. Once that dried, I mixed the green into my light molding paste and spread it across the Pomegranate stencil, covering most of the card. The small spaces I had left, I covered with Coarse Pumice Gel which mixed with some of the green paint. Finally, I traced the letters from a Dylusions stencil and added touches to the card with my Stardust Pen.

So fun and shimmery, and I love that stencil! The dimension from the bits of Coarse Pumice Gel is awesome!

See you again tomorrow for another Tuesday Technique!
