The first day of summer and I got my new Summer Distress Inks – perfect timing!
I used my ink blending tool to cover the card in the three colours and loved how the Salty Ocean and Picked Raspberry blended to make an amazing purple. I went with that so the card turned out to be a deeper colour than I had originally intended.
I did my favourite spritz and flick with Biscotti Perfect Pearls Mist, then stamped some new Dylusions stamps, a sentiment and the birds with Archival Ink. I pressed Mowed Grass Distress on my craft sheet, misted with Biscotti, and used a paint brush to colour the leaves and sections of the circles.
I inked the wood veneer house and made it into a bird house and called it done!
I was going to stamp another sentiment but liked this one on it’s own once it was stamped. Those Around the Edge stamps are beautiful – love the numbers instead of text going through them.
I’m sure I’ll play with these inks some more tonight, try to go a little brighter – stop back tomorrow and see how it all turns out!

This is beautiful-very light and airy. I LOVE it.

Oh my! This is beautiful!
I have been meaning to buy some of the limited edition distress inks. Do they last a long time or do you recommend to buy the re-inkers at the same time?

Depnds on how you use them. I have some original colours that have never been reinked while others have been a couple of times. I like the re-inkers for other types of things like painting and making my own mist. If you’re only using them as re-inkers, they probably aren’t necessary right away. And thanks about the card!
