Molly sat down and made a card with me so I have two to show you today!
I was playing with my mists so of course, she needed to play as well. She dipped paintbrush in the open bottles and started to make a pirate ship but the mist did not cooperate with that plan! She did end up with some great shapes, patterns, and colours and was happy with it – I call that all good!
For mine, I knew I wanted to make “wish flowers” – those fluffly, seed laden, end-of-their-life dandelions that are everywhere around us right now. Molly, Gabe, and I went for a walk yesterday and found a bunch which we promptly wished upon and blew everywhere.
I painted the card with gesso (having fun playing with that right now) and then sprayed and smeared mist all over it.
I punched holes for the dandelions with my old eyelet setter then masked the rest of the card and sprayed Mister Huey’s Blizzard over the holes:
It’s hard to see, but the way I scraped the layer of gesso over the card left some flat texture that was picked up when the mist went over it – in real life it adds a lot to the look of the card:
I”ll be back later with a card I made for an event this weekend!
