5 years ago today I woke up very early in the morning and thought, “I think I’m in labour.”
5 hours later, my baby girl was here.
She came with a head of black hair when I was expecting blond, and in a flurry of activity since she needed a forceps delivery. And because she came so fast and scared the life out of her father, he gave in and let me have the name I wanted, both first and last! 🙂
Molly Nora was a week early and a little 6lb 13oz bundle that changed our lives. She was perfect.
And though her stubborn streak can be very trying, she still is perfect.
We love you, my baby, all the way to “planet Earth” and back, to “finian” and beyond, forever and ever.

Happy 5th Birthday Molly!!!! Like Liz said time flicks past, and I know you savor these moments of childhood. She’s adorable from day one. Funny, I remember my fifth birthday… Yikes!
Awwwww, love the post, Mama!
And so say we all – much love today and always – to both of my girls with the stubborn streaks who changed my world – mom
You don’t say it was changed for the better, but of course, we know it was! 🙂
Only for the better – but of course!! There were days however when that perspective was not quite so clear as it is now……..the joys of looking back and remembering! It’s all good and we are so lucky!
Wow! Time sure does fly…I can’t believe she’s 5 already! Enjoy every moment because it all really does happen in a blink. Happy Birthday Molly!
I know! It’s crazy how fast that 5 years went, hey?
